Companies today are faced with the challenge of acting not only economically, but also socially and ecologically responsible. The B Corp certification provides an effective framework for this and recognizes companies that meet the highest standards of sustainability, transparency and corporate governance. In Switzerland, 130 companies are already certified as B Corp, worldwide almost 9,000 – a clear indication of the growing trend towards responsible business.
To become a B Corp, companies must meet clear minimum requirements in the future. These include fundamental requirements, as well as performance requirements in the following areas (please note that these standards are still in the draft stage and subject to change):
These new standards are intended to replace the previous B Impact Assessment scoring system and set minimum criteria for companies seeking certification. In addition, it remains necessary to adapt the company statutes in order to firmly establish the consideration of all stakeholders. The transparent presentation of sustainability performance also continues to play a central role in creating trust among customers, partners and the public.
Our consulting services provide comprehensive support in this process.
