The Lamprecht Transport Ltd. Group (hereinafter “Lamprecht”) is a company in the transport and logistics industry with headquarters in Basel. Lamprecht is legally organized as a public limited company and has five subsidiaries. Founded in 1945, the company offers services in the areas of road, air and sea freight, customs clearance, warehousing and supply chain management. Lamprecht operates nationally and internationally, developing tailored transport and logistics solutions for clients across various industries.
In 2022, Lamprecht conducted its first CO₂ company carbon footprint. Since then, the company carbon footprint has been carried out annually with the support of Swiss Climate and is continuously being further developed. Since then, the company has been awarded the Swiss Climate Label twice and received the new “SILVER CERTIFICATE” label for the first time in 2025.
The label is awarded to companies that have established a holistic CO₂ management system covering the areas of organisation & strategy, accounting, reduction, climate protection contributions and communication. Compliance with the guidelines (version 10.1) is also audited annually by an external auditing company (Neosys AG or SGS).

For Lamprecht, sustainability and climate protection are important components of corporate culture and shape the strategic orientation. With Project N (N stands for “Nachhaltigkeit”, which means sustainability in German) launched by Lamprecht, the topic is increasingly being addressed and a roadmap for decarbonization is being developed. Since 2022, the company has been striving for systematic CO₂ management through internal CO₂ accounting in order to create a sound basis for setting climate targets.
Lamprecht carried out its first opportunity and risk analysis in 2025. This analysis examined aspects such as upcoming regulations and political changes, the market, current and future technologies, reputation, current regulations and the financial structure. The analysis is updated periodically if there are changes in content. The analysis is based on the current market environment in which Lamprecht operates.
Lamprecht prepared its first corporate carbon footprint for the 2022 financial year in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 14064-1 standard and the accounting principles of the GHG Protocol, which form the basis of the Swiss Climate Label, and has been continuously improving data quality ever since.
The operational activities on which the defined system boundaries are based are as follows for Lamprecht:
Lamprecht defines it’s organizational system boundaries based on operational control. This means that all facilities and activities under the operational control of the company are included within the system boundaries.
The head office in Basel and the other Swiss locations in Pratteln, Ramsen, St. Gallen, St. Margrethen, Embrach, Zurich Airport and Geneva are included in Lamprecht's balance sheet. The following four subsidiaries are also included in the balance sheet: Expo-Cargo AG Basel, Expo-Cargo AG Zurich, Lamprecht Pharma Logistics AG and FEAG Internationale Transporte AG.
The operational system boundary is defined in accordance with the recommendations of the GHG Protocol. For Lamprecht, this results in the following operational system boundaries:
Scope 1
Scope 2
Scope 3
For the 2024 financial year, the reported emissions amount to 127’984 tons of CO₂. The main sources of emissions are transport, commuting and business travel.

Interim targets until 2030
The climate strategy sets an absolute reduction target of -31% for Scope 1 & 2 by 2030, which corresponds to a saving of -149 tons of CO₂. For Scope 3, a relative reduction target of -22.5% per ton-kilometers (tkm) has been set. This means that CO₂ intensity is to be reduced from 70 g CO₂ per tkm in 2022 to 55 g CO₂ by 2030.
Net zero target by 2050
Lamprecht aims to achieve net zero target for Scope 1 + 2 by 2050 at the latest, as this is a reasonable timeframe for planning and implementing measures.

The following measures, among others, will be taken to achieve these goals:
Since the 2024 carbon footprint assessment, Lamprecht has supported climate protection by investing in projects outside its own value chain. Among other things, it supports the sustainable management of Swiss forests, access to clean drinking water and climate protection measures in Cambodia. These projects contribute to the reduction of CO₂ emissions locally and complement the company's own decarbonization efforts.
Lamprecht communicates its carbon footprint and climate commitment through the following channels:
