ifolor – climate-friendly company since seit 2012
Ifolor AG is a Swiss provider of attractive and high-quality photo products. When it comes to climate protection, the company is a pioneer: since 2012, ifolor has seen it as its duty to continuously improve the greenhouse gas balance.
Each year, ifolor works with Swiss Climate to calculate its carbon footprint in accordance with international standards (ISO 14064 and Greenhouse Gas Protocol). This not only takes into account the greenhouse gas emissions from the company’s own operations (Scope 1 and 2) but those produced in the value and supply chain as well (Scope 3). Ifolor formulated a climate target and an action plan to achieve a 50% reduction in its operational carbon emissions by 2020 compared to 2011. By consistently implementing the different measures, ifolor exceeded its first target with a reduction of 54%. For the next target period, ifolor has set itself an absolute reduction target of 30% by 2030 compared to 2020. ifolor developed the two climate targets in close collaboration with Swiss Climate.
Measures successfully implemented
ifolor invested in a comprehensive waste concept and has been continuously optimising it in recent years. This has led to the recycling rate increasing from 8% to 59%. In addition, there is now a greater focus on recyclability when designing new products. Furthermore, ifolor only uses 100% renewable electricity on its premises, and it optimises its heating systems through continuous internal and external analyses. The commutes of its employees are also recorded, and use of public transport is encouraged. The residual emissions that ifolor has not (yet) been able to reduce with relevant measures are offset through selected climate protection projects.
