Climate Breakfast 2022
The counter-proposal KVI:
Time to put your sustainability management under the microscope

The topic of sustainability has become much more explosive in recent years. Stakeholder expectations have increased. New regulatory requirements, questionnaires from customers, and direct consumer expectations continue to build pressure.

On 01.01.2022, the counter-proposal to the popular initiative "For responsible companies - to protect people and the environment" (Corporate Responsibility Initiative, or KVI for short), which was rejected in 2020, came into force. This directly affects companies that have more than 500 employees and sales of more than CHF 40 million or total assets of more than CHF 20 million in two consecutive financial years.

Additional due diligence and disclosure requirements apply to companies that source minerals and metals from conflict and high-risk areas or where there is a reasonable suspicion of child labor. These reporting requirements indirectly impact smaller suppliers and create momentum throughout the market.

At the Climate Breakfast 2022, the focus will be on what is already being done in companies and where there is still potential.
